The objectives of this course are to familiarize participants with the current regulations and learn how to interpret them correctly to ensure the wells they drill will not be subject to off-target penalties or enforcement action (due to noncompliance) from the AER.
Changes to the spacing regulations and Directive 065 along with the increase in horizontal well drilling have led to confusion and misunderstanding as to what constitutes an on-target, compliant well.
